How long will my extensions last?

We lose from 3 to 5 natural lashes a day in a normal lash cycle. As the natural lashes fall out, the eyelash extensions attached to them will also go. The new natural lashes that grow will need to be filled. Eyelash extensions can last indefinitely with regular fills. Proper home care is also crucial for successful results.

How long does it take to apply eyelash extensions?

Application time varies depending on how many natural lashes you have. The more lashes, the longer it takes. Time is also given to cleaning lashes with a lash bath and removing grown out extensions. A full set can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours.

Will extensions damage my eyelashes?

If extensions are applied correctly, they should not clump, tug, or pull at your natural lashes, which is what causes damage. Extensions should be lightweight and customized to preserve the health of your natural lashes.

Does getting extensions hurt?

Eyelash extensions should not hurt if applied properly. It should be a relaxing experience.

What if I am allergic to extensions?

Allergies to eyelash extensions are not common, but they do occur. Most allergies are due to the stabilizers in the lash glue. For this reason we always complete a patch test during the consultation. A mild allergic reaction such as runny nose and red eyes can be handled with an antihistamine and running cold water on the eyes. A severe reaction will warrant an ER visit immediately.

What is the difference between classic and volume?

Classic involves one eyelash extension applied to one natural lash. Volume is created by using multiple lightweight eyelash extensions called “fans” on each individual natural lash. Varying lengths, thicknesses, and curls can be used for both classic and volume techniques.

How do I care for my lashes?

Please click on the Aftercare tab in the menu for in depth instructions on how to take proper care of your eyelash extensions.

What If I no longer want my extensions?

You can get your eyelash extensions professionally removed with a specialized cream or gel debonder or let them shed out naturally. Please do not attempt to remove your extensions yourself. This will result in damage to your natural lashes as well as possible irritation and distress to the ocular eye area.

Are the products FDA approved?

Currently, the FDA is not regulating eyelash extensions. However, all of our products come from the European Union where eyelash extensions are strictly regulated. Our products are manufactured and third party tested in the EU. You will not find any Amazon purchased liquids in our studio because there is no way to know the safety of those products.

Do I have to do anything to prepare for the service?

Cleanse your lashes prior to any appointment and remove contacts if you wear them. Eyelash extension adhesive is attracted to moisture. That is why extensions are applied while the eye is closed. Just in case, we do not want any accidents of contacts being glued to the eye ball. Avoid caffeine which can make your eyes flutter, making it difficult to isolate natural lashes for proper placement of eyelash extensions. You will also spend at least an hour lying down so bring earbuds if you want to listen to something of your choice.

What should I expect during the consultation?

Before your consultation, you will be asked to send in a passport like picture of your face. We will assess your face shape, eye shape, and symmetry and design 2 or 3 eyelash extension looks for you. When you come in for the consultation, there will be paperwork to fill out. Then we will discuss the options of lash styles, thicknesses and curls. We will show you the designs we think would best highlight your eyes and compare them to the look you want and expect. The patch test will be next. We work on one eye and apply an eye pad, tapes, primer, ph balancer, superbonder and a tiny dab of gel debonder. 5 to 10 very short, fine eyelash extensions are also glued on with eyelash adhesive. In essence, we are looking to see if an allergic reaction occurs to any of our products. Since we work on only one eye, the other eye is used for comparison. An allergic reaction, if it occurs, will show within 48 hours for most clients. During the patch test we also look at the length, curl, thickness and health of your natural lashes. This information is also factored into the final design.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Currently, we accept Venmo and cash, but we are working on being able to accept other forms of payment.
